Born and raised in Haskell, Helen was a 1947, graduate of Haskell High School. Helen worked as a hairdresser, as well as an instructor. In 1973, she began working as a Licensed Practical Nurse and was employed at Go Ye Village. Helen would begin Green Acres Rescare and was there until her retirement in January of 2011.
Helen had been an active member of the Soroptimist Club, the Oklahoma Rescare Association, American Legion Auxiliary, and was a charter member of Northside Baptist Church.
Helen is preceded in death by her husband, John Harold Farris; parents, Dallas and Elma; children, Judy Pickle and David Blair; and siblings, Sherman Cheatham, Fern Foutch, and Bobby Cheatham.
She is survived by her sons, Bob Burnett and wife Cindy of Tahlequah, Oklahoma, and Brent Burnett and fiance Sadie Maria Lee; her sister, Carolyn Foster and husband Mike; twelve grandchildren; fourteen great grandchildren; and three great great grandchildren. Helen will ber missed by all who knew her.
