Actor. Born in Newark, New Jersey, he was a National Champion gymnast when he began his career in silent films as a stuntman. He made his first film appearance in "Adventures of Tarzan" (1921) and made his first starring role in "The Fighting Heart" (1924). His other film credits include "Savages of the Sea" (1925), "The Fighting Doctor" (1926), "Perils of the Jungle" (1927), plus the lead roles as Tarzan in "Tarzan the Mighty" (1928) and "Tarzan the Tiger" (1929). He died at age 72 in Los Angeles, California.
