While teaching, she met and married Rev. John W. Gray, Jr. and for the past 24 years they have been serving the Lord together at The Union Mission, Norfolk, VA. John is the Executive Director and Jill served as the Administrator of the Women and Children's Shelter, The Wellness Program Coordinator, Ladies Auxiliary Coordinator and was involved in various other projects in the ministry.
Jill had the heart of a servant, always helping and encouraging others.
Left to cherish her memory is her loving husband, John Gray; her children, Abigail and Joshua Gray; parents, Harold and Linda Adams of Auburn, IN; sisters, Susan Johnston of Knoxville, TN, and Kristy Adams of Auburn, IN; brother, Kevin Adams of Fort Wayne, IN; and many extended family members and friends. She will be greatly missed by her Hope Haven and Union Mission family.
A celebration of her life will be held Wednesday, February 14, 2018 at 12 pm at Colonial Baptist Church, 2221 Centerville Turnpike, Virginia Beach. The family will be receiving friends beginning at 10 am prior to service. Burial is to follow at Rosewood Memorial Park.
