Jimmy C. McKenzie, age 71 of Benton, KY formerly of Union CIty, TN, died at 1:29 AM on Sunday, February 11, 2018 at Lakeway Nursing and Rehabilitation.

He was born August 15, 1946 in Fulton County, KY to the late Lonnie H. and Doris Jackson McKenzie. He was a member of Aurora Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Mary Evans McKenzie, a son, Brian McKenzie and wife Leslie of Athens, GA; two daughters, Gina Wood and husband Ken of Hopkinsville, KY, Renee Phillips and husband Jason of Dyess AFB, Texas; two sisters, Gloria Crittendon of Union City, TN, Jean Sutton and husband Donnie of Hickman, KY; 11 grandchildren, Eric Mahaffey, Ryan Kemp, Katlyn (Troy) Scott, Paiton Kemp, Conner Wood, Sarah (Dillon) Taylor, Chris (Katie) McKenzie, Luke (Kali) McKenzie, Krista (Dakota) Drummond, Catherine Phillips, Olivia Malonoski; five great grandchildren, La'Niya Kemp, Tinz'lee Kemp, Jadence Kemp, Kaidenn Scott, Jackson McKenzie; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother and four sisters.

Funeral service will be held at 11:30 AM, Thursday, February 15, 2018 at Collier Funeral Home located 211 W. 5th St. Benton, KY 42025, with Bro. Chris McKenzie and Bro. Tim Flatt officiating.

Interment will follow at Flat Lick Cumberland Presbyterian Church Cemetery in Hopkinsville, KY.

Pallbearers are Eric Mahaffey, Ryan Kemp, Connor Wood, Jason Phillips, Ken Wood, Luke McKenzie. Honorary pallbearers will be Ken Evans and Brian McKenzie.

Visitation will be held from 9:00 AM until the service time of 11:30 AM on Thursday, February 15, 2018 at Collier Funeral Home.
