Passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 1, 2017, surrounded by the love of her family and friends.
Predeceased by her husband Dr. Stuart MacDonald. Loving mother of Rod (Vivian), Deke (Brenda) and Kate. Cherished grandmother of Allison (Michael), Jason (Jen), Kyle (Melissa), Graydon, and Eliza and beloved great-grandmother of Ella. Special thanks to Mary for her years of friendship and support, to Maryam, Josie and Grace for their care and kindness. Thank you also to the staff of True Davidson Acres for their support. The family will receive friends at the HUMPHREY FUNERAL HOME A.W. MILES – NEWBIGGING CHAPEL, 1403 Bayview Avenue (south of Davisville Avenue) from 7 to 9 p.m. on Friday, January 6.
A funeral service will be held in the chapel on Saturday, January 7 at 11 o'clock. Interment at Mount Pleasant Cemetery. If desired, donations in Ruth's name to a charity of one's choice would be appreciated.
