US Congressman. A member of the Republican Party, he served the State of Pennsylvania's 13th Congressional District in the United States House of Representatives from 1995 until 1999. Born into a Jewish family, he attended Cheltenham High School in Pennsylvania, around the same time as future Hall of Fame baseball player Reggie Jackson. Fox enrolled at Penn State University and later received his Law Degree from Delaware School of Law (now known as Widener University School of Law). After passing the Bar, he practiced Law privately, while serving as a reservist with the United States Air Force. From 1976 until 1984, he served as Assistant District Attorney with the Pennsylvania State Attorney Office. His association with the political arena began when he was elected to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives (1984 until 1990). From 1991 until 1994, he served on the Board of Commissioners in Montgomery County, Pennsylvania. In 1992, Fox lost his bid for US Congress when he was defeated by Marjorie Margolies-Mezvinsky. However in a rematch in 1994, he would emerge victorious over Mezvinsky. Fox was reelected for a second term in 1996 after defeating future Congressman Joe Hoeffel and in 1998, he would lose his Congressional seat in a rematch with Hoeffel. After leaving Washington, Fox returned to practicing Law.
