We have come together as Family and Friends to pay tribute to the life and legacy of Mrs. Eloise Spann Freeman of Ridgeland, SC.

Eloise Spann Freeman was born on February 6, 1924 in Ridgeland, SC. Eloise Freeman recieved her education in the public school system in Jasper County, SC.

She was employed as a housekeeper for the late Circuit Court Judge Luke Brown, Jr. for many years. In her spare time she enjoyed gardening, sewing and baking. She was affectionately known to her family and friends as “Mother”

In the beginning of her christian walk she was a member of Bibleway Holiness Church and later moved her membership to Lovely Hill Baptist Church. In her later years she attended Family Worship Center until her health began to fail.

Mother Eloise Spann Freeman departed this life on Saturday, February 10, 2018 at St. Joseph Candler Hospital in Savannah, GA.

She was preceded in death by one son, Troy Ruben Freeman; one grandson, Davonte Freeman; five sisters, Carrie Colden, LuElen Curry, Janie Prottis, Lila Harris and Isadora Smith; three brothers, Bobby Spann, Joe Spann and Henry Spann. She will be missed by those who knew and loved her.

She leaves to cherish her memories: one loving and devoted daughter, Evang. Jacquelyn Jones of Ridgeland, SC; two brothers, Freddie (Iola) Spann of Estill, SC and Curtis (Catherine) Spann of Savannah, GA; seven grandchildren, Tonya Jones, Jerell Jones, Antoinette Freeman, Tynisha Jones, Troy Freeman, Jr., and Wrenshad Anderson all of Ridgeland, SC, Kadedrea Jones of Columbia, SC; thirteen great grandchildren; four great great grand children; special nieces, raised as a daughter, Gail (Lee) Brown of Estill, SC; also a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends.
