Terry Lynn “Bear” Wagner was born on February 7, 1955 in Farmersville, TX, to Lee Andrew Wagner and Florence Rue Greer Wagner. He was one of five children raised in the Josephine area. Bear was a volunteer firefighter for Josephine and was also self-employed as a painter. He had served as a volunteer fireman with Josephine for 20 plus years and was the Mayor for a short term. He enjoyed riding his Harley, fishing and playing bingo with his wife Mary of 31 years. Thirteen years ago, a beautiful baby girl came into their lives, Kaylee, and he loved being a “Poppa” to Kaylee. Bear will be missed dearly.

On Friday, January 19, 2018, Bear was called Home. He was greeted in Heaven by his beloved wife: Mary; a daughter:, Valentine Ruth; and his parents: Lee and Florence. His life will continue to be remembered and celebrated by his daughter: Kaylee Vann; his siblings: Larry Don Wagner and his wife Nancy of Josephine, Jerry Lee Wagner and his wife Janette of Telephone, Mark Andrew Wagner and his wife Marina of Woodland, Maine, and sister Leah Ann Whitworth of Rockwall.

Bear had three Granddaughters Krista Grimes; Haley Grimes and Heather Grimes. Great granddaughters Makensley Edwards; Ansley Edwards and Ava Grimes. Stepson Chris Grimes and wife Jennifer and mother in law Barbara Hamilton and husband David.

Funeral service to be held on Tuesday, January 23, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at First Baptist Church in Josephine located at 310 S. Main St. Josephine, TX 75164 with Pastor Randy Hargrave officiating. Interment to follow at Nevada Cemetery.

Family will receive friends on Monday, January 22, 2018 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Rest Haven Funeral Home in Royse City located at 141 W. Main Street in Royse City, TX 75189.
