Craig Edward White, retired Chief Warrant Officer 3/ Millwright, passed away on Thursday, February 8, 2018, at the age of 73. He was as a veteran of the U.S. Navy, Army National Guard, and the U.S. Army Reserve. Craig received numerous medals and ribbons during his long military career, including an Army Lapel Button, Army Service Ribbon, National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal, Navy Unit Commendation Medal, Meritorious Unit Commendation Medal, Southwest Asia Service Medal with 2 Bronze Service Stars, Air Medal with Arabic Number 1, Good Conduct Medal, Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal, Antarctica Service Medal. Army Achievement Medal, NCO Professional Development Ribbon, National Defense Service Medal with Bronze Star, Army Achievement Medal (2nd Award). He was ordered to active duty in support of Operation Desert Shield/ Desert Storm. Craig was a native of Wellington, Kansas, and a resident of Livingston, La. Preceded in death by his parents Alvena Hays and Robert S. White of Gonzales, La., and biological father Glenn C. Long of Salina, KS. He is survived by his wife Linda DeLaune White; daughters Terri White, Christy Cartaginese, Jaime Graham (Joseph) and Mollie Brown (Kerry); grandsons Cass, Lucas, Dylan, Jake, Landon; one granddaughter Ryan Louise; sisters Carol White, Glenna Weir, Janna Long, Patty Temple; brothers Larry White, Gary White, and Dennis Long. Pallbearers will be Joseph Graham, Todd Knight, Wyndell Johnson, Donald Wheat, Larry White and Gary White. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Graveside Service on Thursday, February 15, 2018, at 1:30pm at Louisiana National Cemetery, 303 West Mt. Pleasant Zachary Rd, Zachary, La. In lieu of flowers, please send donations in his name to Mary Bird Cancer Center, Baton Rouge, La.
