Dolores J. Lewis, age 84, of Penn Run, died Sunday, February, 11, 2018 at her home.

She was born in 1933 in Somerset to Burton and Ethel Sawicki Nicholson and was raised by her grandmother Jennie Nicholson.

Mrs. Lewis attended the Salvation Army Church for many years and was more recently attending the Summit Church, Indiana.

She enjoyed playing bingo and spending time with her grandchildren.

Surviving are three sons and one daughter - Burton A. Lewis and wife Jeannie, Indiana; John J. Karpik and wife Belle, Penn Run; Ken R. Karpik and wife Cindy, Indiana; Chevaliere “Sis” Smith and husband James, Clymer; 11 grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren; one brother and three sisters - Ted Aultman, Indiana; Kay Loomis and husband Fred, Erie; Shirley, Indiana; Jennifer Miller and husband Ron, Erie.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her grandmother Jennie, her companion Kenneth “Tob” Lower; her brothers - Elwood Days, Burt Nicholson; her grandson Justin Lewis, her granddaughter Kandace Karpik, and her great granddaughter, Brianna Jefferson.

Friends will be received on Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 P.M. and on Wednesday from 10 to 11 A.M. at the Bowser-Minich Funeral Home, Indiana, where a funeral service will begin at 11 A.M. Interment will be made in the Oakland Cemetery.
