Corrine Dagestad 1909-2004

Corrine Dagestad, 94, of Bagley, died on Friday, July 23, 2004 at the Greensview Health Care Center in Bagley.
Funeral services were held on Monday, July 26, at the Cease Family Funeral in Bagley, with the Rev. Lyle Twite officiating. Interment was at Moose Creek Cemetery south of Shevlin.
Corrine was born September 16, 1909 at Faith, South Dakota the daughter of Elroy and Hazel (Harmon) Stage. She moved to a farm south of Solway as a child and attended school through the fourth grade.
She married Merle McDonald on November 29, 1930 at Parker, South Dakota. They purchased a farm south of Shevlin and farmed until Merle's death on September 27, 1962. In 1963 she sold the farm and moved to Nebraska. Corrine married Roderick MacDonald, Merle's brother, on March 29, 1965 at Ratan, New Mexico and they later moved to Bagley. he died on September 30, 1969. On December 3, 1977 Corrine married Peter Dagestad in Bagley. He died on September 13, 1978.
Corrine was an active member of the Bagley Senior Citizens Center and the American Legion Auxiliary. She enjoyed soliciting contributions for the annual Poppy Days for the disabled veterans.
Survivors include four daughters, Mary Rothwell of Clara City, Minnesota, Julia (Albert) Fradenburgh of Rapid City, South Dakota, Hazel (Dennis) LaCroix of Bemidji, Carrie (David) Harmon of Clearbrook; two sons, William (Charlotte)McDonald of Meadowlands, Minnesota, James (Linda) McDonald of Allan, Nebraska; 23 grandchildren, many great grandchildren and many great great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husbands, three sisters, Zella, Viola and Bessy, and two grandchildren.
Cease Family Funeral Home in Bagley assisted the family with arrangements.
