A man who enjoyed time spent outdoors, Don had worked for Oakwood Cemetery. He also worked for Wabash Valley Manufacturing in Silver Lake.
He enjoyed camping, fishing, hunting and shooting, among other outdoor activities. He was best known for his sense of humor and his ability to lighten the mood and relentlessly pick on friends and family.
Although he belonged to a large extended family, a list of his nearest relatives includes his son, Brian Hatfield of Warsaw; two granddaughters, Hope Hatfield of Warsaw and Monica Hatfield of Indianapolis; grandson, Damian Hatfield of Warsaw and sister, Marjorie Caverley of Warsaw. Those who preceded him in passing include his son, Aaron Hatfield and his parents.
