Beulah Leone Surette – 90, of New Minas, passed away on Sunday, January 21, 2018 in the Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville.

Born in Canning, Kings County she was a daughter of the late Allen and Jennie (Fancy) Carey.

She had been employed in various ladies wear stores throughout the province and later worked with the federal government. She was a member of St. Joseph’s Roman Catholic Church, Kentville, where she was active with the Catholic Women’s League. She enjoyed volunteering, baking, cooking and knitting.

She was predeceased by two husbands, Billie Sullivan and Ludger Surette; a son, Billie; three sisters, Annie Harvie, Julia Rogers and Gloria Brannon.

Burial will take place in the Elm Grove Cemetery, Steam Mill, Kings County.
