Glenn and his family moved from Houston to Wynnewood, OK in 1968, prior to settling in Davis, OK in 1971. He was a 1978 graduate of Davis High School. Glenn and the former Ms. Judy Parr were married on June 29, 1989 in Gainesville, TX.
Following graduation, Glenn worked ten years at Halliburton Services in Davis, prior to working a few years as security at the Wynnewood Refinery. He later worked as a security guard for Cedar Blue, before working in their public works department. At the time of his death, Glenn was working as a field operator for Murray County Rural Water District #1, where he had worked for the past 19 years.
In his spare time, Glenn enjoyed hunting, fishing, reading and watching TV. One thing he enjoyed watching on TV was "his" soap opera, "The Bold & the Beautiful," which created many opportunities for his friends to aggravate him about. Glenn was a faithful member of the First Free Will Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Judy; one daughter, Darla Cothren & husband Devin; one son, Nicholas Glover; his father, Marvin Woods; two brothers Marvin Woods, Jr and David Woods & wife Mary, all of Sulphur; two sisters, Ilene Hobbs & husband Steve of Hennepin and Elizabeth Doughty of Maysville; five grandchildren Chett Taylor, Brittany Graves, Karrson Hazlitt, Kaydence Brooks and Korbyn Brooks; father-in-law and mother-in-law, James & Darla Harden; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins..
Glenn was preceded in death by his mother, Jessie Woods and daughter-in-law, Lori Glover.
Funeral services will be held 10:00 AM, Tuesday, February 13, 2018 at the First Free Will Baptist Church in Sulphur with Pastor Dick Terry officiating. Interment will follow at the Oaklawn Cemetery in Sulphur.
