An only child, B.D. was born at home on August 5, 1930 in Purdon, Texas, to loving parents, Lucy Hood (French) and Leo Hubbard. B.D. was schooled in Purdon and Alliance Hall and never had any interest in leaving the confines of Navarro County. A real love match, he and his wife, Joyce, operated his Dawson service station and car lot until her death ten years ago. If asked, B.D. would tell anyone that he was successful because of her.
Funeral services will be 2:00 pm Thursday, February 15 at Wade Funeral Chapel in Hubbard with Rev. Mickey Loftis officiating. Interment will follow in Dawson Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, February 14 at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Eddie Hodge, Daryl Hodge, G.C. Younger, Billy Truelove, Richard Miller and Bradley Withrow.
