Funeral services for Mrs. Margaret Hill, who passed away last Tuesday were held Thursday afternoon from the Church of Christ the pastor, Rev. F.L. Chipperfield of the Methodist Church. The members of the American Legion Auxillary attended in a body. Burial took place in the Waterman cemetery beside her husband, Arthur.

Frank Bruner and H.J. Behmer accompanied by Mrs. Bruner at the piano sang songs appropriate for the occasion. Mrs. C.W. Lynn and Mrs. T.L. Sweeney acted as flower bearers.

Pallbearers were those selected by the deceased in making plans for the service. They were D. J. Briggs, H.W. Johann, Charles Williams, E.D. Triplett, Chester Bidwell and Robert Perrin of Ida Grove.

The following obituary was read at the service:
Margaret May Hulser was born near Sutherland, Iowa April 10, 1889. She was the third child in a family of five children born to Frank and Elizabeth Hulser. Her early years were spent in the farm home of her parents. Her education was recieved in the district school. In 1918, they moved to Sutherland, which has since been her residence.

On July 11, 1920 she was married to Arthur Hill. Soon after their marriage they made their home with her father's family which arrangements continued for several years. Three children constituted their family: Clayton 18, Margaret 14, and Leslie 13, all of whom survive their mother. Mr. Hill died December 26, 1931.

Mrs. Hill has been a sufferer from cancer for three years. Every available means of relief has been resorted to for her recovery, but with little result beyond temporary easement. Her spirit and attitude during her long suffering has been the remark of all that knew her. She has shown the highest degree of fortitude adn patience and courage, always having in mind her three fatherless children above her suffering body. She faced the future confidently and talked freely with her family about her prospective departure, always having her emotions in the most perfect command. Like St. Paul she said, "I am in a straight betwixt two, having a desire to depart and to be with Christ, which is far better, nevertheless to abide in the flesh is more needful for you". She passed away on Tuesday morning age 49 years.

Mrs.Hill united with the Christian church in her youth. She was also a charter member of the Legion Auxillary at this place in which relation she continued actively as long as her strength permitted.

In addition to her three children she is survived by her aged father, and also two brothers, Jesse and Otis; and two sisters: Mrs. Lloyd Gilbert and Mr. J. E. Gleason of Peterson.
