Robert Jack Bearden born on March 7, 1937 in Buncombe County, North Carolina, the son of Robert Andrew Bearden (1913–1996) and Virginia Katharine (Griset) Bearden (1913–1997) .
He was married on September 24, 1956 at LaVergne Presbyterian Church in LaVergne, Tennessee to Joanne Zellner (1937–2010), the daughter of William Zellner (1899–1974) and Allah Mary (Smithson) Zellner (1903–1984). Both of Joanne's parents died in Nashville.
Robert was 80 years old, a widower and diabetic when he passed away peacefully surrounded by family in Davidson County, Tennessee on February 9, 2018.
Preceded in death by his parents and by his wife, he was survived by six daughters, two sons, nine grandchildren and three great -grandchildren.
Celebration of Life Services were held at Hibbett & Hailey Funeral Home in Nashville, and burial was in Resthaven Memorial Gardens.
