Lisa Marshall
(May 10, 1964 - February 9, 2018) Lisa Marshall, age 53, of Meshoppen, PA, passed away unexpectedly Friday morning, February 9, 2018 at Tyler Memorial Hospital in Tunkhannock, PA.
Lisa was born on May 10, 1964 in Brooklyn, NY, the daughter of the late William Bill Marshall, who passed away on December 25, 1982 and Cecilia Ryan Marshall, who passed away on August 20, 2010. Lisa grew up in the Greenpoint section of Brooklyn until she was in the fifth grade. She graduated from Elk Lake High School with the Class of 1982. She continued her education by receiving a degree from Keystone College in Computer Science and a degree from Misercordia University in social works. Lisa worked as a social worker at the Wyoming County Bureau of Aging for over 30 years.
Lisa was a past member and past president of the Ladies Auxiliary at the Black Walnut American Legion Post 510, past member of the American Red Cross, and past member of the Meshoppen Fire Company and Ambulance Association. She loved to have family picnics down by the Susquehanna River at Myo Beach. She enjoyed playing BINGO, going out to dinner with her friends, and keeping up on things through Facebook. Lisa loved to travel and would take spontaneous road trips to the Chesapeake Bay Bridge. Most of all, Lisa loved being around her family, especially the children.
Lisa is survived by her sisters Carol (Charles) Kirchoff of West Nyack, NY; Linda Thompson (Richard Williams) of Tunkhannock, PA; brothers William (MaryJo) Marshall of Long Island, NY; and Bruce (Jamie) Marshall of Meshoppen, PA; step-children Saria Brewer of Tunkhannock, PA and Leighann Warner of Tunkhannock, PA; as well as step-grandchildren. Also surviving are numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews.
By abiding to Lisas wishes there will be no calling hours or memorial service. A celebration of life will be held at a later date at the convenience of the family.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made in Lisas name to the True friends Animal Welfare Center, 16332 SR 706, Montrose, Pa 18801.
