Have copy of death certificate, but parts of it, because of the handwriting, are difficult to read. The cemetery is listed as Smith _____. Funeral home is Watertown Undertaking, which, apparently is out of business.

Father is shown as Benjamin Wauford, (b. TN) and Sallie Crook/Wauford (b. TN).

Date of birth is shown as 12/17/1854 on death certificate, but is shown as 2/1846 on 1900 census. It is more in line with his date of birth as 7/1845.

Cause of death - mitral insufficiency, some cancer.
Had to do some very creative searching to find her.

Emily shows up with her family on the 1860 and 1870 censuses with a birth year of 1856. If you look at the 1900 census, she has given her age as 44 and birth year as 1846. If you add 1846 + 44 years, you get 1890. So, she got her birth year wrong on the 1900 census, or her age. If her age is right she was born in 1856, the same as in 1860 and 1870. Since she was only 4 years old in 1860, they couldn't have missed her birth date by 2 years. So, I'm guessing 1856 is probably right. As you mention, her death certificate gives 12/17/1854 as her birth date. Just a guess, but maybe her actual birth date is 12/17/1856. Just some thoughts.
