A memorial service will be 11 a.m. Monday, February 12, 2018, at Holten Heights Church of the Nazarene with Bro. Survivors include her husband, Gary Mitchell; daughters, Rhonda Corder (Clint) and Angila Amundson (Jeff); son, Nickey Mitchell (Tara); sisters, Becky Lunceford, Debbie Weeks (James), Laura Fox and Valerie Tillman; brothers, Clyde Lunceford, Jimmy, David (Su), Hank (Leola), Norman (Frances), Dickie (Patricia), Jeff and Frank Lunceford, Jr.; eleven grandchildren; and ten great-great-grandchildren.

Sara was a devoted wife, mother and Granny. She and Gary were married nearly 51 wonderful years. Their love story was truly remarkable.

When she wasn't taking care of her family, she enjoyed cooking, gardening and making crafts. With her passing, leaves a hole in our heart that will never be filled and we don't have to worry ""where's she's at.""

Honorary pallbearers are DCH Regional Medical Center First Floor ICU, Dr. Alldredge and past co-workers at the University of Alabama.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that donations be made to Holten Heights Church of the Nazarene.
