Clara A. Stagg, 89, of Parkersburg passed away Friday, February 9, 2018.

She was born March 8, 1928, a daughter of the late Emmett and Helen Allen.

Clara was a homemaker who enjoyed baking, sewing, and her flower gardens. She loved the beach and family gatherings.

She is survived by her husband of 68 years, John W. Stagg; as well as 3 daughters, Joyce A. Barnhart (Charles), Julie K. Chambers (Jerrold), and Sandra L. Monroe; grandchildren, Mathew Barnhart, Holly Bitz, Jason Chambers, Sean Monroe, and Michael Monroe; 3 great-grandchildren; one sister; one brother; as well as her dog Abby and kitty Ringo.

Clara was preceded in death by one son, Stephen; one daughter, Suzanne; and one son-in-law, Christopher Monroe; as well as her parents, 2 brothers, and many beloved pets.

Funeral service will be 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, February 13, 2018 at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 400 Green Street, Parkersburg. Interment will follow at Evergreen North Cemetery. The family will receive friends 2-4 p.m. & 6-8 p.m. Monday and one hour prior to service Tuesday at the funeral home.
