Sid Collins Jr. was born on August 15, 1936, in Houston County, Texas, and departed this life on Thursday, February 8, 2018, in Shawnee, Oklahoma, at the age of 81.

Sid, the son of Sid Collins Sr. and Maurice (Pegoda) Miller, was a long time resident of Prague. He married Darlene (Morelock) Collins on November 14, 1958. He enjoyed CB radios and had one in nearly every vehicle. Sid retired from the United States Air Force and served as a firefighter during his military career. He was very proud of his work on the Presidential Support Team for Lyndon B. Johnson and time at the Ranch in Johnson City, Texas. Sid was a determined hard worker and later retired from his second career at General Motors.

Sid was preceded in death by his father, mother and step-father, Charlie Miller and sister, Charlene Miller.

He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Darlene (Morelock) Collins; son and daughter-in-law, Allen and Imer Collins of Ft. Stockton, TX; daughters, Jody Collins of Purcellville, VA, Carol Rumbo of Shawnee and Pam Collins of Prague; 16 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren and many other family and friends.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, February 12, 2018 at Parks Brothers Funeral Chapel, at 1:00 PM in Prague with Bro. Tim Emmons officiating. Interment will follow at Prague Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service in Prague.
