Roger Leslie Tyler, 69, of Springboro, Ohio, died on February 4, 2018 after a decade long struggle with frontotemporal lobe dementia and Alzheimers. He was preceded in death by his parents, Oscar and Claudette Winburn. He moved with his parents and brother to Albuguergue, New Mexico in 1952. He graduated in 1967 from Sandia High School. He served in the U.S. Coast Guard from 1967 to 1971 as an Electrician and was honorably discharged as a Petty Office First Class. He graduated from the Univeristy of New Mexico with a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering with an option in Computer Science in 1976. While in college, he was President of Eta Kappa Nu (IEEE Honors Engineering Society) which assisted with building the first electronic scoreboard in "The Pit" (UNM basketball arena). He retired from Northrop Grumman after thirty-four years of employment. The family lived in Albuquerque, New Mexico; Sierra Vista, Arizona; San Antonio, Texas; Richond, Virginia; and Huntsville, Alabama.
