Ray was born in 1926 & grew up in Belmar, NJ. He lived in Wall Township for 57 years before moving to Toms River in 2011.
He was predeceased by his parents, Fred & Alice, his brothers Jack, Howard & Les Walton as well as his sister Millicent Curtis. He is survived by his wife Alma of 69 years, his daughters Helen Stein & Doris VanNorman, his grandsons Keith VanNorman, Brett Stein, Chad VanNorman, Scott Stein and sons-in-law William VanNorman and Steven Stein.
Ray was an Army Veteran of WWII.
On Friday, February 2, 2018 at 7:00 PM a Memorial Service will be held at the Toms River First Church of the Nazarene, 188 Route 37 W, Toms River, NJ 08757. In lieu of flowers, please contribute to the Nazarene Church's Mission Fund.
