Memorial Services for James "Skip" Minyard, 57, of Fairfield Avenue, who entered into rest February 26, 2017 will be conducted Friday afternoon at 1 o'clock from the Posey Funeral Chapel, Chaplain Dexter officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home following the service.
Skip was a native of Winona MS, a former resident of Cleveland MS, having made North Augusta his home for the past 5 years. He was a Baptist and a Wood Artisan. He was preceded in death by his parents, James M. Minyard, Sr. and Irene Dunn.
Survivors include his wife DeVeaux Minyard, North Augusta, SC; two step-sons, Clarke Palmer, III, and his fiance Lauren Covington, North Augusta, SC and Andrew R. Palmer, Jackson, MS; a step-daughter, Emily D. Palmer, Aiken, SC; three sisters and brothers-in-law, Carey and Robert Deaton, Carolyn and Johnny Summerville, and Margaret and Huey Howerton, all of Carrollton, MS; his aunt and uncle, Grace and Malcolm Dunn, Carrollton, MS; several nieces and nephews.
