Death came suddenly Sunday afternoon to Miss Bertha Heap, near Birds School. She was in attendance at the M. E. Sunday school when taken fatally ill of a brain affection and succumbed within five hours of blood clot. She was prior to her illness in good health.
Funeral services were held and burial at Richland Cemetery Tuesday.
She was the second daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Isaiah Heap.

Miss Bertha Heap, the 15-year old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Isaiah Heap, was stricken by apoplexy while at Sunday School at Birds Chapel last Sunday.

The young lady had been in the best of health and her sudden death was a shock to the community, the greatest sympathy being given to the parents.
