Daniel G. Ballard, 88, of Clayton, passed away February 9, 2018. He was born January 2, 1930 to the late Clarence and May (Waggoner) Ballard in Indianapolis, IN. He was a US Army veteran during the Korean War. He worked for several Ford dealerships as a mechanic for 28 years retiring in 1978. Daniel is survived by her two daughters, Myra (Buddy) Soles of Fayetteville, PA, and Diane (Steve) Allen of Clayton; 4 grandchildren, Michele (Dan) Phillips, Bob (Charissa) Shields, Dara (Robert Brown) Allen, and Scot (Stefanie Allen; and two great grandchildren, Cora and Eleanor Shields. He was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret Ballard; a son, Benjamin Ballard; and a sister, Pat Anderson.
