George William Armistead, age 65, of Monroe, died on February 5, 2018. He was born in Walton County on August 3, 1951 to the late Sarah Farmer Armistead and the late George Ernest Armistead.
He is survived by his sisters and brothers in law, Sara and Lynn Moon of Oxford, Gladys and Lonnie Blackmon of Monroe; brothers and sisters in law, Calvin Armistead of Monroe, Ernest and Denise Armistead of Monroe, James Armistead of Monroe, Tommy and Sheryl Armistead of Monroe, George Ellison of Covington; and a number of nieces and nephews.
A funeral service was held on Saturday, February 10, 2018 at 3:00 pm in the Chapel of Meadows Funeral Home with Rev. Lonnie Blackmon officiating. Interment followed at Hill Haven Memory Gardens.
