GRANDMOTHER, OF TWO KILLED IN ACCIDENT, DIES AT AGE OF 82

Mrs. Maggie M. Stallsworth, 82, died this morning two weeks after her granddaughter and great-granddaughter had been killed in a motor car accident.

The St. Joseph News-Press, May 4,1959, accident victims were Mrs. Thomas Harris of this city and her daughter, Diana Lee, almost two. Also fatally injured in the same accident was Mrs. Harris' father-in-law, Thomas Harris Sr. The crash was April 19 near Sidney, Iowa.

Mrs. Stallsworth had been ill for three months. She died at her home, 1507 Highland Avenue, where she resided with a daughter Mrs. Ruie Oder. The widow of Henry Stallsworth, she was born at Cainsville, Mo., coming to St. Joseph in 1927.

In addition to Mrs. Oder there survive two other daughters, Mrs. Minnie Shaw, Nunn, Colo., and Mrs. Emma Miles, Pryor, Okla.; two sons, Fred and George Stallsworth, St. Joseph; a sister, Mrs. Fannie Jefferson, Picuyune, Miss.; 18 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. Mrs. Stallsworth was a member of the Christian Church at Cainsville.

The body is at the Stamey Funeral Home.
