Jerry Max McClure, 83, of Burkburnett, passed away Wednesday, February 7, 2018.
The family will receive friends from 6:30 until 7:30 p.m. Friday, February 9, 2018 at Owens & Brumley Funeral Home of Burkburnett. Funeral services will be held 1:30 p.m. Saturday, February 10, 2018 at First Baptist Church of Burkburnett with Rev. Joe Coombes, officiating. Private family interment will follow at Burkburnett Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Owens & Brumley Funeral Home of Burkburnett.
Jerry was born on October 11, 1934 in Frederick, Oklahoma to the late Charlie and Eela (Prescott) McClure. On February 23, 1957 he married Pat McCabe in Wichita Falls. Jerry served in the United States Army from 1957 until 1959. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Burkburnett. Jerry enjoyed farming, was an avid outdoorsman, and especially enjoyed Bass fishing and hunting.
He is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Pat McClure of Burkburnett; his son, Chris McClure and wife Charlotte of Winchester, Missouri; two daughters, Mindy Simmons and husband Jacky of Burkburnett, and Julie Campbell and husband Eddie of Flower Mound; nine grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren.
