James is the only known son of Mary & Hezekiah but there may be others. There are 5 children that appear on the 1870 census living with Mary & Hezekiah. The oldest is Julia, James' daughter and grand daughter of Mary & Hezekiah. The other children also have the Forbes surname, but are too young to be children of this couple. They could be grandchildren, but do not belong to James.
Married first to Hiram Origen McGill having 6 children She later left the marriage and married Hezekiah Forbes and had additional children. I have listed the children in notes. I am decendant of the McGills and it is worth noting that Mary V Steward is of Creek indian heritage.
