GREENVILLE - Mr. H. Benjamin "Ben" Evans, Jr., 66, passed away Wednesday, February 7, 2018.

A graveside service will be conducted Friday at 11 AM in Pinewood Memorial Park.

Mr. Evans, a native of Pitt County, had lived in the Red Oak community all of his life. He was a graduate of the J.H Rose class of 1970 and was employed with Burroughs Wellcome (now Patheon) for 45 years.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Herman B. Evans and Mary Catherine Smith Evans.

Ben is survived by; brothers, Robert W. Evans and wife, Linda and Donald E. Evans and wife, Betty; nieces, Elizabeth E. Everette and husband, Daniel and Anne C. Evans; nephew, Robert W. Evans, Jr.; great nieces, Abbigail and Emma Everette; and beloved pet, Ruff.

The family will receive friends on Thursday evening from 5-7 PM at Wilkerson Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to the Humane Society of Eastern Carolina, 3520 Tupper Drive, Greenville, NC 27834.
