Actor, Musician. He was known for dozens of roles in both television and film during his five-decade acting career. He started out as a drummer for singer Trini Lopez and later worked for Johnny Rivers, Bob Dylan, and Kenny Rogers and the First Edition. His musical work helped yield seventeen gold records. After the break-up of the First Edition in 1976, he turned to acting. He first gained television experience on the variety series "Rollin' on the River" in 1971. He would go on to appear on such series as "The Rockford Files", "Flo", "The Incredible Hulk", "T.J. Hooker", "V", "Baywatch", "Home Improvement", and "Justified". On the film side, his credits included "National Lampoon's Vacation" (1983), "Starman" (1984), "Total Recall" (1990), "Tin Cup" (1996), "Sling Blade" (1996), and "Penny Dreadful" (2006). He was also credited for the soundtrack of the television shows "V" and "Get a Life". He passed away after a long illness.
