Geraldine G. “Jerri” Morgan, 76, of Cleveland, TN went home to be with her Lord on Tuesday February 6, 2018 at her youngest son’s home with family by her side.
She was born July 6, 1941, in Dalton to the late Oscar Green and Martha Howard.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband of 50 years, Leon “Lee” Morgan, and her daughter Janice Fannin Hurley.
She was a member of Clingan Ridge Baptist Church, but due to her illness was unable to attend for the last several years. She worked and retired after 30 years of service from Duracell Plant in Cleveland.
She is survived by her son and daughter in law Bryan and Kelley Morgan of Cleveland; Terry and Tammy Fannin of Kentucky; grandchildren: BJ Morgan (Dená) of Cleveland, Christina Hurley of Cleveland Sarah Fannin and Rachael Fannin of Kentucky; five great grandchildren of Cleveland; brother and sister-in-law: Roy Lee and Margaret Green of Resaca; sisters: Wilma Flowers of Cohutta and Patsy Weller of Ringgold. In addition to these she leaves behind several nieces, nephews, and extended family members and friends.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm on Friday February 9, 2018 at Companion Funeral Home located at 2419 Georgetown RD NW, Cleveland, TN 37311. A celebration of life service will be held at 7:00 pm following the visitation. Interment will take place at McDonald Cemetery on Saturday February 10, 2018 at 10:00 am.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the local Alzheimer’s Association or 2018 Alzheimer’s walk in memory of Geraldine Morgan.
