Charles H. Dwyer, 102, of Brockton, passed away Feb. 7, 2018. Son of the late Boyce Dwyer and Estelle (McDow) and Peter Carriuolo, he was born in Whitman. Raised by his grandmother Emma, he graduated from Gould Academy in Bethel, Maine. He was employed by Carey Transportation and Quinn Freight Line for 40 years until retirement and was a Teamsters Union Local 653 member. He assisted his son at Dwyer's Glass and enjoyed playing golf at D.W. Field where he aced a hole-in-one at Senior Tournament. He was an avid vegetable gardener; and liked dancing, daily walking, traveling, and watching the Boston/New England Patriots for decades. A wonderful, funny, kind and strong man, he will be missed by all. Charles was a beloved husband of Flora T. (Paparo) Dwyer for 63 years; loving father of Scott Dwyer (and Sue) of Bridgewater, Kathleen Johnson (and Joseph) of East Bridgewater, Charlene McDonald (and the late Ivan) of Abington and the late Betty Ann Pike (and the late Gerald) and late Helen "Sis" Jario; grandfather of many including Chris Dwyer (and Amy), Kerri Johnson (and Matt), Katie Barrett (and Joe), Joey Johnson (and Dana); great-grandfather and great-great-grandfather of many; brother of the late Leah Dwyer and Sonny Carriuolo; brother-in-law of Marjorie Paparo and the late Ugo Paparo, and Tony and Lila Paparo; and an uncle of many nieces and nephews.
