He was the son of the late Hugh and Ruby Mae Hill and was preceded in death by his wife, Ida Lee Hill and sisters and brothers-in-law, Laverne Polk, Sue (Bill) Addington and Bobby Polk.
Jim was a Veteran of the United States Army and served in the Korean War.
He is survived by his brother, Lloyd (Mary) Hill; sisters, Patricia (William) Masters and Wilma Polk; nieces and nephews; special friends, Charles and Dee Hastey.
Funeral services will be held at 2 PM on Friday in the chapel of Love Funeral Home with the Rev. Regan Marsh officiating.
Burial will follow in Dogwood Valley Baptist Church Cemetery with Military Honors by American Legion Post 112.
