He was a graduate of Dunbar High School in 1965, Veteran of the U.S. Army and retiree of GM after 36 years. Curt loved sports, music and keeping a clean car.
He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Loretta Troutman Varner, and his parents, Leonard & Geneva Cantrell; brother Lewis Adams; sister Evon Cox. Survivors include two sons LaMont (Ivra Jean) Varner, Curtis Varner; daughter Courtney Varner; stepson Joseph R. (Adrienne) Troutman; two grandsons LaMont (Jay) Varner, Jr. and Carson Varner; three granddaughters, Kaelyn Varner, Karmyn Varner, and Jewel Troutman; brother Ken (Catherine) Varner, three brothers-in-law Rufus Troutman, Jr., Lester (Carolyn) Troutman, and Terry (Tamiko) Troutman; two sisters-in-law, Janet (Mark) Gibson and Lynette Troutman; two uncles James (Nancy) Kinney, Lucius (Cheerie) Kinney; three aunts Osie (Jacob) Jernigan, Eldora Walker, and LaVonia Kinney-Nelson; special nephew, Keith (Hellen) Cox; a host of nieces, nephews, many relatives & friends.
