She was Certified Nurses Aid with Union County Home Health and was a member of the Mounty Holly Community Church. Diann enjoyed fishing, but most of all she loved spending time with her family.
Preceding her in death are her parents; husband, Bobby Joe Bates; and sister, Dana Elaine Broach Smith.
Survivors include her son, Joe T. Bates (Lyn) of Mount Holly; daughter, Melissa D. English (Carolyn) of Hooks, Texas; sisters, Dee Broach Bethea, Delby Jo Broach Schlafman (Ralph); brother, Don Broach (Gladys); grandsons, Richard Cross, Justin Raines; granddaughters, Lacy Bates, Lindy Bates; and six great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 5 until 9 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 6, 2018 at Young's Funeral Directors.
