Richard “Dick” Dale Ashman, Sr., 80, of Matthews, NC, passed away after a brief illness with his family by his side. He was born in Youngstown, OH to Frederick and Mattie Jane (Braley) Ashman. On April 12, 1975 in Indian Trail, NC he married his loving wife of 37 years the former Marlene Walker who passed away on September 30, 2012. He worked for many years as a foreman with Rodgers Builders Inc and was a faithful member of Blair Road United Methodist Church. He was preceded by his 2 daughters Debbie Ashman and Patty Sackett.
