Helen Larkin, 66, passed away peacefully on February 4, 2018. She was preceded in death by her parents, Gloria and Elton Larkin, her brother, Dr. Tucker Larkin, and brother-in-law, Billy Ayres. She is survived by two brothers, Elton Jr. (Tina) and Steve (Kathie), two sisters, Libba Nance (Dwain) and Jeanne Ayres, her sister-in-law, Peggy Larkin, and many nieces and nephews. Helen attended The University of Tennessee-Knoxville and was an avid VOL fan! At UT she was a member of AOPi and a Little Sister of ATO. During her sophomore year, she was in a car accident that was life-changing. She faced many obstacles throughout her life, yet always had a smile on her face. Her positive spirit and sense of humor were an inspiration to everyone she met. Helen never let a kind act go by without saying “Thank You”. Her last words to family and friends after visiting were always “Be Careful”. Helen was always thinking of others before herself. She was one of the original residents of Plough Towers and lived there for over thirty years. She will be greatly missed by all her family and friends. She is now reunited with her parents and family WALKING in Heaven. Visitation will be at 9:00AM on Thursday, Feb. 8th followed by a service at 10:00AM. at Canale Funeral Directors. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery. The family requests that any memorials be sent to the Msgr. Paul W. Clunan Endowment Fund at St. Louis Catholic Church or to a charity of your choice.
