Velma married Albert Verne Harris. She had worked as a secretary for insurance companies. In Hampton, she was a member of First Christian Church. In Duluth she attended St. Andrew by the Lake Episcopal Church. Velma was full of love for family and friends and enjoyed caring for others. She enjoyed sports, bridge, fishing, dancing, study club and golfing.
She was preceded in death by her husband Verne and by seven siblings.
Velma is survived by her daughter, Pam Elifritz; and many nieces and nephews.
Burial will be at Hampton Cemetery, Hampton, IA at a later date.
