Glenn “Cecil” Watts, age 91, of Pleasant View, Tennessee, died Tuesday, February 6th, 2018 at Hillcrest Healthcare Center in Ashland City.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11 o’clock am, Thursday, February 8th, at Austin & Bell Funeral Home in Pleasant View with Bro. Joey Myers officiating. Burial will follow in EverRest of Cheatham with family and friends serving as pallbearers.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday, February 7th, from 4:00-8:00PM and again on Thursday beginning at 9:00AM until the hour of service at 11:00AM.

Mr. Watts was born on February 6, 1927 in the Coopertown community of Robertson County, Tenneseee to the late George and Maggie Horton Watts. He was retired from Werthan Bag Company, and was a member of Liberty Baptist Church. He was a veteran of the United States Army and served in World War II.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by brothers, Shelly Watts, Burton Watts, Bernard Watts, Ernest Watts, Otto Watts, Hugo Watts, Billy Watts, Quentin Watts, Taylor Watts, and Sylvanus Watts; sisters, Bessie Drake, Mildred Overby, and Clara Drake.

Survivors include his wife, Daisy Simpson Watts; son, Eddie (Lori) Watts, of Pleasant View; daughter, Brenda (Brian) Ogle of Pleasant View; sister, Betty Hooper of Nashville; granddaughters, Kelley Lanae (Trey) Williams, and Amber (Phillip) Swanson; great-grandchildren, J.J. and Clarene Williams; and many nieces & nephews.
