Mrs. Belinda June Proudfoot Baker, age 49 years, a resident of the Talbott Road, Belington, went to be with the Lord, early Sunday morning, February 4, 2018 in the United Hospital Center at Clarksburg. Death was following a short illness.

She was born May 3, 1968 at Philippi, WV, a daughter of Herman Joshua Jr. Proudfoot and Patricia Ann Knotts Proudfoot, who survive at Belington. On July 24, 1992 she was united in marriage to Raymond Harrison “Ray” Baker, who survives at their home.

In addition to her parents and husband, she is survived by two daughters; Moriah and Sarah Baker both of Belington, maternal grandmother; Mary Lou Knotts of Belington, one brother; Craig Proudfoot and wife Melinda of Buckhannon, one niece; Samantha Proudfoot of Buckhannon, one step daughter; Michele Baker Kuhn and husband Jeff of Washington D.C. and their children, one step son; Mike Baker and wife Elsa of Maryland and their children.

Belinda was a graduate of the Philip Barbour High School with the class of 1986. She was employed as a driver for LAB Corporation and was the secretary of the Barbour County Farm Bureau. She had formerly attended the Light of Christ Chapel in Belington where she was married, sang in the choir, assisted in the sound booth, taught Sunday school, and assisted with vacation bible school for many years. She most recently was attending church at Way of Holiness in Buckhannon. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Friends will be received at the Way of Holiness Church in Buckhannon on Tuesday, February 6, 2018 from 6-9 pm. Friends will be received again on Wednesday, February 7, 2018 from 9am to 11am the funeral hour when final rites will be conducted from the church chapel with the Pastor Jerry Murrell officiating. Interment will then follow in the Talbott Cemetery near Belington. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to the American Cancer Society P.O. Box 22718 Oklahoma City, OK 73123.
