Mary Magaline Johnson Allred, 85, of ASHEBORO, died Monday, February 5, 2018 at Clapp's Convalescent Nursing Home in Asheboro.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, February 8, 2018, at Ridge Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Wayne Eller and Brother Keith Johnson officiating. Burial will follow at Randolph Memorial Park.

Mrs. Allred was born June 5, 1932 in Chatham County, the oldest of 12 children, she was the daughter of the late Archie and Allie Johnson. She was of the Baptist faith and retired from Tie-Rite Neckware Company.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Alma Lineberry; and her brother, Buck Johnson.

Survivors include her daughter, Mary A. Ricketson of Greensboro; son, Harvey Allred and wife, Patsy of Asheboro; sisters, Ruth J. Smith, Linda J. Welch and husband, David, Toni J. Coore and husband, Jimmy, all of Siler City, Judy J. Luther and husband, Clyde of Asheboro and Shirley J. Thompson of California; brothers, Archie Junior Johnson of Franklinville, Johnny Johnson and wife, Shirley, Keith Johnson and wife, Foy, all of Siler City; sister-in-law, Marie Johnson of Siler City; and grandson, Thomas Stanton and, wife, Matisse of Wilmington.

The family will receive friends from 12:30 - 2:00 p.m., Thursday, prior to the service at Ridge Funeral Home.

The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the staff of Clapp's Convalescent Nursing Home and Hospice of Randolph County for the care Mrs. Allred received.
