Obituary of Jean Flaherty

FLAHERTY, Jean D.

Age 91 of Elmira, NY. She was born July 11, 1926 in Elmira, daughter of the late Eugene and Beatrice (Coe) Angell and passed away Sunday, January 28, 2018 at the Chemung County Nursing Facility.

She was predeceased by her husband of 64 years, Bruce and brother Charles Clifford Angell.

She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law Bruce and Amy Flaherty of Horseheads along with several nieces and nephews including her special niece Suzanne Angell of Rochester.

Jean was a member of North Presbyterian Church. She was a Registered Nurse, employed with the Arnot Ogden Memorial Hospital and retired from Dr. George Murphy's pediatric office.

Family and friends are invited to visit Walter J. Kent Funeral Home, 858 Lake St. at Washington Ave., Elmira on Thursday, February 1st from 3 to 5 pm. Her memorial service will follow at 5 pm. Interment will take place in Woodlawn Cemetery at the convenience of the family.
