Carla Faye Anderson, age 70, was born on September 17, 1947, in Redwood Falls, MN, the daughter of Lee C. and Arlene (Zilm) Meyer. She grew up in Colorado and Minnesota. Carla married Michael Anderson on June 21, 1974. She had various jobs throughout her life including at a cabinet company, sign holder for road construction, and at Burger King where she retired from. Carla enjoyed traveling, fishing, camping, spending time with her girlfriends, and most of all her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Carla passed away peacefully on Monday, February 5, 2018, at the Sunset Hospice Cottage in Worthington, MN.

Carla is survived by her son, Robert Anderson of Worthington, MN; step children, Lee (Judy) Anderson of Heron Lake, MN, Kari Volk (Todd Werner) and Cindy Brandt of Camp Douglas, WI; mother, Arlene (Zilm) Meyer of Worthington; two sisters, Loxie (Marvin) Heeren of Worthington and Colleen (Dennis) Luitjens of Worthington; one niece, Patti (Greg) Wildeman of Lake Park, IA; three nephews, Todd (Jeni) Luitjens of St. Cloud, MN, Troy (Jill) Heeren of Hampton NE, and Lonnie (Edith) Heeren of Worthington, along with nine grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.

Carla was preceded in death by her father, Lee C. Meyer and her husbands, Dennis DesLauriers and Michael Anderson.

Memorial services will be held on Thursday, February 8, 2018, at 11:00 a.m., at the First Presbyterian Church in Brewster, MN, with Pastor Robert Bartlett officiating. Carla's special friends, LaVonne Holt, Linda Lindemann, Mary Meyer, and Karen Bullerman will serve as honorary bearers. Inurnment will be in the Worthington Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church.
