Ray Young age 73 of Oneida, departed this life on Thursday, December 29, 2011 at his home. Born in Campbell County on May 16, 1938, he was the son of the late Albert and Pearl Sweeny Young.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brothers: Robert, Lonas, and Lonnie Young; sisters: Lizzie Chambers, Gladys Woods, and Myrtle Ford.

Survived by his wife Cordelia Young; children: Donald Young and wife Connie, and Mark Young all of Lafollette, TN.; sisters: Sue Poteet and husband Tom, Wanda Carroll and Irene Bolton all of Lafollette, TN.;
three grandchildren: Donald Wayne Collins, Justin Young, and Preston Young all of Lafollette, TN.; special niece he called Nosie; a host of nieces, nephews, and many other relatives and friends.

Friends may visit with the Young family on Saturday, December 31, 2011 from 6 p.m. until time of funeral service at 8 p.m. in the chapel of West-Murley Funeral Home with Bro. Ronnie Arnold and Bro. Greg Shaffner officiating. The family will depart from West-Murley Funeral Home at 12 Noon on Sunday, January 1, 2012 to the Litton Family Cemetery in Oneida.
