Mother: Lillie Ethel Clark
Wanda Jean “Wendy” Malone
Wanda Jean “Wendy” Malone, 69, passed from this life peacefully at her home in Gray, on Monday, February 5, 2018.
The cruel disease that she so bravely fought was never able to dampen her spirit or dim her bright smile. Our lives will forever be richer for having known one of God’s true ambassadors of happiness.
Wendy was born in Big Stone Gap, VA to the late Jack and Lilly Clark Nave.
She retired from Eastman Chemical Company after 39 years as being a customer service representative.
Wendy loved to travel and hike with her husband. She was also an avid UT football fan.
Left to cherish her memory: her husband of 30 years, Ted Malone; one brother, Jack Nave, Jr.; one sister, Geraldine Deary; one niece, Linda Beason; two great nieces, Renee Scott and April Osborne; two great, great nephews, Ryan and Andrew Scott; two step children, Billy Malone II and Becky Womeldorf and her husband Wes; two step grandchildren, Mikaela and Quinn Marion; one sister-in-law, Kathy Meade and her fiancé Jeff Stoll; and one brother-in-law, Ronnie Malone and his wife Ruby.
The family of Wendy Malone will receive friends from 6:00 PM until 7:00 PM Thursday, February 8, 2018, at Morris-Baker. For those that attend, bring your best Wendy stories and be prepared to share at 7:00 PM. Family and friends are asked to meet at Washington County Memory Gardens (off of Boone’s Creek Rd. and Browns Mill Blvd.) Friday by 10:50 AM for an 11:00 AM committal service.
