Life-long Eastern Idaho resident, C. Garth Fullmer passed away at the age of 95 on February 3, 2018 in Idaho Falls. An employee and branch manager for Simplot Soilbuilders for over four decades, he was a consultant to farmers well into his nineties. He also managed a ranch at Burns Creek.

Garth was born on March 6, 1922 in Sugar City, Idaho, he was the son of Solomon and Merle Grover Fullmer. He enlisted in the U.S. Navy in 1942 and served in the Pacific. He received an honorable discharge in January of 1946. As one of the oldest living World War II Veterans, he has received numerous honors in recent years for his military service, including a trip to Washington D.C. as part of the Honor Flight of Idaho in 2015. He was also inducted into the Eastern Idaho Agricultural Hall of Fame in 2015 for his service to the community.

He is survived by his wife Janet R. Jensen Fullmer of Idaho Falls, his children Linda E. Dennard, Ph.D, of Montgomery, Alabama, Bryan G. Fullmer of St. Anthony, Idaho, and Valerie A. Fullmer of Archer, Idaho, and step-daughters Pam Hult of Boise, Teresa (Roger) Carlson of Idaho Falls and Debra (Paul) Talbot of Rigby, Idaho, sisters Ruth Hammer of Lewiston, Utah, Marva Wheatley of Layton, Utah, and Flora Seadschlag of Corona, California, and his brother Charles S. Fullmer of Blackfoot, Idaho, as well as 3 grandchildren, 4 step-grandchildren, 1 great grandchild and 7 step-great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his first wife Elaine, his parents, Solomon and Merle, two brothers, Max Fullmer and Preston Wilding, 1 granddaughter Rebecca Dove Dennard, and 1 step-grandson Jared Carlson.
Funeral Services will be held Saturday, February 10, 2018 at 11:00 am at the Archer LDS Church Building (201 West 8000 South REXBURG, Idaho 83440). The family will visit with friends and family on Friday, February 9, from 6:30 to 8:00 pm at Eckersell Memorial Chapel in Rigby (101 West Main St.) and prior to the service Saturday from 9:30 to 10:45 am. Burial will be at the Sutton Cemetery following the service. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the U.S. Marine Corps Toys for Tots program (1843 Carmel Dr. Idaho Falls, Idaho 83404) and the Veteran’s Mobility Corp./Chair Project at VVAIF.org or 2052 Jennie Lee Dr. Suite 1, Idaho Falls Idaho 83404 or the Charity of your choice
