Phillip Marvin Henry, 79, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, February 4, 2018. Mr. Henry was born on October 11, 1938 in Neeses, SC. He was the son of the late Wildie Henry and the late Nellie Jane Hair Henry. He was also predeceased by a daughter, Anne Henry.

He served in the United States Army. He loved music and played many instruments, but he was known for playing the guitar. He was an outdoorsman but loved spending time with family and friends.

Survivors include his wife: RoseMary Henry; children: Phyllis (Gerald) Miles, Steve (Leslie) Creel, Joseph (Amanda) Creel and Dottie Creel; thirteen grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; sisters: Vernelle Gartman and Elsie Saylor; mother-in-law: Margie Lyons; life-long friends: Bill Hasty and Tommy Joe Harley.

The family would like to extend a sincere thanks to all of the medical staff that help Phillip through his journey.

Friends may call at the residence of his son and daughter-in-law Steve and Leslie Creel. Visitation will be held from 1 - 3 PM on Friday, February 9, 2018 at Thompson Funeral Home, Inc. prior to the funeral service. Funeral services will be held at 3 PM on Friday, February 9, 2018 at Thompson Funeral Home Chapel in Orangeburg. Rev. Cindy C. Williams will be officiating. Memorials may be made to Thompson Funeral Home, Inc. at 1012 Whitman Street Orangeburg, SC 29115.
